The Van Berkoms Explore Aruba's Restaurant Scene
Tyler and I had quite a week in Aruba. We tried to do things on the cheap, so no chance to see the five star places that most of the East Coasters spent their dough on in the Dutch Caribbean. We were more creative and picky.
To begin, we enjoyed dinner on Saturday on the dock! It was a burger and salad at the Bugaloe. It was on the beach in front of the Riu and Westin. We really enjoyed the sunset view and the Dutch options.
Sunday night was a dinner at WENDY's -- yes, you heard it hear first, WENDY's!!
Third, we bussed down to an early dinner at the Paddock -- no BLOG photos, sorry.
Tuesday, back to the Bugaloe for another burger, some Dutch sausage with a curry sauce (see photos) and a salad for me!
Wednesday, we tried and failed to find a local spot called Nos Cuncus (or something like it). We instead opted for all you can eat ribs at the Paddock again. I was not disappointed! Yum!
Thursday was our last and best dinner. We used Trip Advisor to find "the spot" to eat on Aruba. They were not lying. It was unreal. Tyler was brave an agreed to try GOAT! I had the mixed seafood. Both were delicious!
Friday morning was a great breakfast at the La Petite Cafe. Both of us had all you can eat omlettes with fixings and coffee.
Last, another fast food meal...this time Sbarro at the Aruba Airport. Not too bad!
